Interesting plans Smile How much are new trumpets?

not sure but they were cut like that to fit the 106 gti they were fitted to previously so i should need the same cut outs, if not then i will probs do without the trumpets and get a sausage filter

im guessing they weren't precision cut lol as i said i'll see what its like when they're fitted and i'll see if it has to be like that or not

cheers Very Happy

yea the sticker bombing was only done as i lost my arch on the A1 lol and my housemate who worked at pug1off got me a black arch that was lying around so i thought the stickers would look better than a odd colour'd arch until i can get a red one lol

I like it but the stickerbomb thing is not my thing. Bet the power to weight ratio is well good on this

lol im guessing there's some saxo hatred here?

Yup Laughing

thanks Smile maybe people should judge a car for what it is and not just go by stereotypes...

Not really stereotypes,

So for what the car is;
A tin can on wheels
A deathtrap
Not particulary interesting to look at
Poor build quality
s**t interiour
Small engine and handling is okay(ish)

majority of that is true ha but the main points are opinions not facts, i dont think it would have got in to performance french car mag if it was 'not particularly interesting to look at' considering only two saxos out of hundreds were put in...

i personally love the interior and i could very quite happily and sit here and reel off many points which would stop me buying a 206 but im not going to because its pointless getting all worked up over 10 yr old french hatch backs lol

it was a toss up between a clio 182, 207 gti or take this car further, less expensive than the 207 and more than the 182 but a hell of a lot faster than the 182 and more fun to drive.

And do you really need a bigger engine in a small car than a 1.6? i dont think so personally, and is a bigger engine required in a saxo? i dont think so considering how little they weigh, remember im not lugging around a boat lol the bhp/tonne on saxo's/106's isnt exactly shabby is it

whats the bhp/tonne on your clio?....

Not a accurate figure but its the book one
Apparently 159bhp/tonne
Mine doesn't way same as standard tho

Bhp/tonne doesnt mean anything anyway can have a 1.1 with a bigger bhp/tonne than mine but it would still loose.

I've got video evidence that a Saxo/106 GTi is slower than a Clio anyway

Right.... Neutral

Its a 206 site yet more non peugeot cars appear?

I dont mind dedicated members showing us there project thread of a new car, but a new member with a completely random car?

The point is?

I meant once mine has been mapped up with the cams and throttle bodies it would be faster than any rs clio....

and sorry, on saxp i love reading threads on different cars as looking at saxo after saxo does get boring, I've never seen someone on saxp get slated for showing different cars, the reason why i joined 6 months ago was becasue i was considering a 180, but meh ciao!

you will need new trumpets.... even short ones would do with a sausage filter but you will need them or the airflow will go to rats. You will be surprised how the trumpet length affects the power figures......
