#1: Would appreciate your input! Author: MacK, Location: GloucestershirePosted: Thu Sep 29, 2011 2:07 pm ---- First of all an introduction, I'm Andy, I'm 17 (Soon to be 18) and live in Gloucestershire. Just bought myself a 2000(X) Peugeot 206 1.4 LX in silver and its got completely stock everything so want to jazz it up a bit!
However there are two limitations...
1. Money (I'm only a student!)
2. I'm planning on joining the Army as an officer so while I want it to look nice and sporty it needs to be kind of civilised so it can fit into an Officer's mess car park!
The kind of things I'm looking to do with it is a nice sound system, some alloys, a small spoiler and some seat covers however after a Google search I got swamped with masses of items so I thought I'd come to you guys to see what you can recommend to me!
Thanks, MacK!

#4: Re: Would appreciate your input! Author: MacK, Location: GloucestershirePosted: Thu Sep 29, 2011 2:18 pm ---- Cheers Soldi3r!
Yeah all the one's I've seen have looked pretty naff but thought someone might have come across an alright design.
#5: Re: Would appreciate your input! Author: PugJH, Location: NorthantsPosted: Thu Sep 29, 2011 2:23 pm ---- Get some pics up so we can see what we are working with
Seat covers = no unless you carry dirt around a lot and buyin a new interior would be pointless. Otherwise leather interiors go for about £100-150. Which is cheap
Alloys = don't buy too cheap, I say oem, any higher spec 206 or even other 4stud Peugeot
Sound system = just upgrade the speakers no need to get a sub or anything will cost to buy and install and not fit in with your officers mess carpark unless it's turned down on entry
#6: Re: Would appreciate your input! Author: Antknee, Location: ManchesterPosted: Thu Sep 29, 2011 2:23 pm ---- for the price of seat covers you can get a good condition complete half leather interior; ie front and rear seats, door cards, side panels and glovebox lid
#7: Re: Would appreciate your input! Author: dafdavies, Location: LLandysulPosted: Thu Sep 29, 2011 2:24 pm ---- Nice 4 grand insurance for u there
#8: Re: Would appreciate your input! Author: MacK, Location: GloucestershirePosted: Thu Sep 29, 2011 2:32 pm ---- Pug: In the garage at the moment, but will get some pics once I get it back. Just imagine the most stock 1.4 LX haha.
Ant: Really? Ok awesome, will definitely look into that, any particular websites you'd recommend for interiors?
dafdavies: Insured for 1600 which was good! Only limitation is I cant drive it after 11pm but tbh if I'm awake after 11 I doubt I'll be sober enough to drive
#9: Re: Would appreciate your input! Author: tomd0801754, Location: MoscowPosted: Thu Sep 29, 2011 2:36 pm ---- Sports bumpers (front and rear), GTi spoiler (which I have for sale ), OEM Alloys 16/17'', CC'd bumpstrips and a nice sporty but not OTT loud exhaust.

keep an eye out in the for sale section on here mate, there's always some going! what colour is the car too? you can usually find some bumpers off the higher spec models on here, ebay or gumtree, along with wheel arch extensions which are genuine peugeot parts and dont make it look like the chavmobile
#11: Re: Would appreciate your input! Author: pug-206-boy, Location: Eastbourne, East SussexPosted: Thu Sep 29, 2011 2:59 pm ---- just stick Nimrods on it and if you've got a few quid colour code the rub strips if their not already..

#13: Re: Would appreciate your input! Author: Antknee, Location: ManchesterPosted: Thu Sep 29, 2011 3:40 pm ---- Half leather interior:
you can see the difference, mine used to be a basic spec LX too
#14: Re: Would appreciate your input! Author: pug206lx, Location: Taking a gearbox off somewherePosted: Thu Sep 29, 2011 3:49 pm ---- If you want some subtle/oem/very cheap speakers then pop to a scrappy and get yourself 2 front speakers from the front doors of a late model 406 and make sure they say Harman on them somewhere. I've fitted a set to my GTI. They plug straight in, no troubles trying to fit them in the space, 10 minute job and they are very good / cheap and they sound A LOT better than the 206 speakers.
