Firstly replace your headunit. Then replace your speakers. Then amp these. Then think about a sub.
Price is up to you. An amp wiring kit will probably set you back between £25-40 quid if it doesn't come with the amp. Then you need to decide if you want to amp all the speakers or just the front or rears. Loads to think about tbh far too much to list. Check the threads about audio these should help. Where do you live I can help set it up if your close

To be honest the standard set up is so s**t you could spend £20 and notice an improvement, just depends how good quality you want the sound to be.

If you haven't replaced the headunit yet do this. It makes a massive difference. Then think about speakers amp and sub Smile

You don't need to replace the head unit.

You can get brilliant sound just by upgrading the speakers.

I was considering replacing the radio part anyway so i could plug my phone in via usb and play the music thats on the phone. Which brands are worth spending money on or avoiding.

I found that the easiest way to get an instant sound quality and volume improvement is the head unit swap. No point upgrading the speakers if your not going to give them a bit more juice. Most head units come with a built in 4x50w amp. Imagine a chav car. They can make it look all fancy and stuff at the end of the day it's still a 1.1. Same with speakers, you can replace with excellent ones and you get a lil improvement but give them an amp and a new head unit and vrrooommm lovely times Smile

I did the right thing and looked on ebay for a new amp that nobody had used for half the price. Hence, MRP F600 for £140 instead of £300 or whatever it is. In total I spent about £500 I think!

If a stereo has 4x50W thatll be the peak value, it'll actually be producing between 20-30w RMS depending on the efficiency (read manufacturer) Wink

I know that's the max output but when do you see a show car running a standard head unit? Head units need doing lol
