#1: Can anyone help me ? Author: becs89, Location: Essex PostPosted: Fri Sep 30, 2011 11:57 am

I am having lots of problems with my Peugeot 206cc and I'm not sure what to do and really hoping it's not going to cost lots of money.

When I'm driving on motorways the engine is cutting out reguarly and it's really scary as a few times I'm braking and it cuts out I'm frightened I will cause an accident. It's become very frequent like once or twice a day now.

Also my steering is pulling to the left I've taken it twice to have wheel balancing and tracking sorted and it stays okay for about a month then goes back to pulling again.

Has anyone had any similar troubles or have any suggestions on what to do?

When the engine cuts out, do all the electrics die as well?

Check your tyre pressures

Yes everything cuts out as if I have switched the car off.

Earth strap to the gearbox would be the first port of call

I would also try to get the car scanned for fault codes, it may highlight any underlying problems Smile

I just phoned a Peugeot garage they told me they haven't heard of this fault. They want to charge £70 to bring the car in to look at and then will advise me of any further charges if they find a problem. Is that reasonable or should I try elsewhere?
