#69: Re: Yorkshire Meets Author: sam-c, Location: Uni: Kent Home: ScunthorpePosted: Sun Oct 16, 2011 11:28 am ---- Hi, I am your other area rep along side raz
Like Raz said its not just up to us to organise meets anyone can, and should do it!
As has been said I organised a meet at RS Tuning in Leeds last month. However, the less said about that the better tbh and I am going to have to have a re-thinking as to how to organise those meets in the future. Its unlikely I will organise another one there untill next summer.
I don't actually live in yorkshire for a large part of the year as I am at uni in Kent. I am thinking me and Raz should put our heads together to organise a meet around christmas time when I am back home. Obviously it needs to be something cheap as christmas is an expensive time of year for everyone. Ity also needs to be fairly central to the region so that we can get as many members there as possible. So yeah, any ideas welcome!
I have to admit I am not on here very much any more as I have a lot going on at uni but should you, or anyone else, want help in organising a meet then feel free to email me. It should be linked at the bottom of my posts
All the best
Sam
EDIT: don't email that address, I wont reply as its where all my junk mail goes lol. Instead email my personal email: sam.j.clements @ gmail.com Last edited by sam-c on Sun Oct 16, 2011 11:48 am; edited 1 time in total

What happened?
#71: Re: Yorkshire Meets Author: sam-c, Location: Uni: Kent Home: ScunthorpePosted: Sun Oct 16, 2011 11:51 am ---- In short not enough people turned up for us to actually have a group day even though plenty of people had confirmed that they were attending and even more had said they were coming previously. So yeah quite a sore subject as most people didnt even let anyone going know that they wouldn't be attending. Also this has left the club in a bad light and I could thoroughly understand if RST didn't want us back again.
That said RST were very good about it and we got it sorted but only because we have been there so many times in the past with usually exceptionally good turn out and those few of us who attended had an enjoyable day
#72: Re: Yorkshire Meets Author: Barking, Location: sarcasm-in-shedloadsPosted: Sun Oct 16, 2011 12:20 pm ---- Bad attendance is just rudeness. Those members should be named and shamed, maybe negative feedback left for them.
If they were being relied upon to ensure everyone else had a discount then they should be ashamed of themselves.
Refuse them next time
#73: Re: Yorkshire Meets Author: sam-c, Location: Uni: Kent Home: ScunthorpePosted: Sun Oct 16, 2011 12:27 pm ---- Just have a look at the thread and you should get a pretty good idea who attended lol
I choose not to write a long rant at the time although trust me I was fuming. That said it wouldn't have achieved anything, positive anyway. If anything it would have made attendence at meets worse and thats not something I desire and I certainly wont be refusing anyone haha
In future its unlikely I will organise an event where I have to put my own money on the line as i have lost confidence in a lot of the members on here sadly and that has quite alot to do with my absence from the forum. That combined with a few other factors but nothing to worry about as I'm still here to help where I can.
#74: Re: Yorkshire Meets Author: Seabook, Posted: Sun Oct 16, 2011 1:55 pm ---- it was mainly those "old face" has turn up last time
#75: Re: Yorkshire Meets Author: Matt, Posted: Sun Oct 16, 2011 2:07 pm ---- And a new one
