There has been enough warning posted up on here over the years about the 180 brake system needing Peugeot Planet to bleed it

#9: Re: Gti 180 brake problem Author: Daniel206RC, Location: Oslo, NorwayPosted: Sun Oct 02, 2011 10:36 am ---- I changed my brake fluid 3 weeks ago, I have no problems braking
why do you need PP to bleed it?

If you manage to get air inside the abs hydraulic modulator while attempting to bleed the brakes you will then need to activate the valves inside the ABS / ESP unit to bleed the system successfully
#11: Re: Gti 180 brake problem Author: Daniel206RC, Location: Oslo, NorwayPosted: Sun Oct 02, 2011 11:36 am ---- okey, I changed to Brembo calipers and then changed the brake fluid with pressure on the system.
So maybe I made it without getting air into the system..
#12: Re: Gti 180 brake problem Author: Steve206, Location: UKPosted: Sun Oct 02, 2011 11:54 am ---- So in fact this could apply to all 206's with ABS. You dont need PP, You just need to do it properly.

Nope, only 206's with ESP fitted which is GTI 180 / RC & some newer GTI's.
If you do manage to get air inside the hydraulic modulator you WILL then need Peugeot Planet to bleed the brake system.
#14: Re: Gti 180 brake problem Author: EuroPeugeot, Location: SW EnglandPosted: Mon Oct 03, 2011 8:09 am ---- I fitted brembos a while back, along with a new master cylinder. And I couldn't get any pressure in the system either.
Ended up taking it to a friend's garage who pressure bled it. Pretty sure they didn't use Peugeot Planet thou..?
#15: Re: Gti 180 brake problem Author: Andy180, Location: Stoke on TrentPosted: Mon Oct 03, 2011 2:51 pm ---- Its getting trailored to a mates garage to be pressure bled now.

#18: Re: Gti 180 brake problem Author: Andy180, Location: Stoke on TrentPosted: Tue Nov 15, 2011 12:02 pm ---- Problem now solved after nearly 2 months the 2 previous master cylinders i used were both knacked so got another one bled it up as good as i could and took it to a garage for them to bleed the rest of the air out of the abs pump.
