My misus keeps going on at me saying she want us to get a caravan lol, i said motorhome but then there's tax, mot and insurance.
Are 206's any good at towing caravans? and do you need to do anything extra on driving licence?

Cheers

As long as the caravan isn't too heavy for the car, then you shouldn't need anything more than a tow bar with twin electrics. Don't even need twin electrics with some caravans.

Depends when you passed your test with the licence question
www.direct.gov.uk/en/M...DG_4022564 can probably answer it though

If its a 180 then i believe they are not able to tow anything, cant comment for others.

180s arent allowed to tow, that seems a bit unfair

I think its due to certain components that cant handle towing Confused

Same with the Civic Type R, they cant tow because the suspension collapses.

Try reading your manual im sure its in there.

max braked trailer towing weight - 700kg (1.1), 900kg (1.4 16v, 1.6 HDi) or 1100kg (other engines)

Personally I would say get something more suitable to do the job. If you got caught up in bad weather or conditions the 206 would struggle IMO. Plus you would look a bit silly Laughing

You would need to upgrade your license to hold categories B+E if it was gained after 2007.

You might be better off getting out of the car and dragging it to where you want it Laughing

As far as I know, to tow a caravan you'll need the following:

- a decent car
- a tow bar
- a complete lack of self respect
- thick skin
- and relatively low expectations from a holiday

Hope I've helped!
