#8: Re: 1.4 hdi injectors. Author: mjsroofing, Location: south walesPosted: Sat Oct 08, 2011 7:43 am ---- well well well. after listening to Glenpring's video I was certain that the noise on the car was a chuffing injector, someone else also said it sounded like a injector down ( diesel knock ) ., I picked up some new injector seals, but before fitting them I went to see a mate who is a peogeot machanic.
He spent 2 seconds listening to it and said the injectors were fine and the bottom pulley had failed, so i took his word for it and bought a new pulley
Spent 10 mins chaging it and it now sounds brand new.

The DV4 & DV6 injectors do come loose, then again the DV4 & DV6 engines are total s**te anyway, leave the injectors loose for to long & your in for a knightmare trying to fix it

Author: mjsroofing, Location: south walesPosted: Sun Oct 09, 2011 3:09 am ---- well I did kind of check it, I was told that they come loose slightly so I grabed it and tried to move it,it felt ok and it did when i took it off. If I didnt know better I would look at it and say it looks and feels fine, its when you tap it on the floor you can hear it tinging. Strange.
