#1: Dan- Gti 180 Project (Pic Heavy) Author: Dan-, Location: Biggleswade PostPosted: Thu Oct 06, 2011 5:08 pm
    ----
Ill start off with the car i had before this, It was a 2002 206 Gti which i loved to bits
Heres a picture

i owned this car for aprox 6 months untill early november 2010 i was hit by a foreign lorry driver that failed to stop causing me to lose my 2 years NCD and start again, the damage didnt look to servere but it had bent the chasis meaning it was written off Sad

So this got me on the hunt for another car, i had always wanted a gti 180 so i browsed the net and found a perfect match just down the road so i had to take a look, the second i saw it i fell in love and knew i had to buy it Very Happy it was completely standard and had only covered 37,000 miles, i have now owned the car for about 6 months and have loved every day off it.
Here are a few pictures of when i brought the car

The first thing i done to it was lower the front 20mm to make it sit alot nicer

After that i then decided i would fit a set of HID's to the dipped and fog lights and i love then will never go back to yellow hallogen bulbs,

a few weeks had past i then decided the sort out the judder which it had when i brought the car, i got myslef a new flywheel and valeo clutch kit to fit but in the end decided to pay a garage to fit it Razz

I felt some new headlights were next to be changed, so started looking through the for sale thread and came accross a set of genuine masked valeos and i had to have them, soon as they arrived i had to fit them looks 100 times better

again browsing on ebay i came accross a set off arches for a steal at £30 including clips and rubbers Very Happy but were painted moonstone

So spent a saturady afternoon sparying the KMF and i think they came up really good for a DIY job

Also that week i had my alloys refurbished as they were suffering from server lacquer peel had quite a few colours in my head but in the end went down the anthracite route and im glad while my wheels were being sprayed i decided to paint my callipers red and think they came out really good to

Next on the long list of things to do was the front badge decided as i had black headlights black was the only colour to go with so got some gloss black spray and got to work

The latest addition was a laguna front splitter, which i think has finished the front off Smile

I am currently awaiting delivery for my janspeed cat back and some Heko wind deflectors so cant wait to get them fitted

The plans i have in the future are fit some Tarox discs with either Red or Green stuff pads, Possibly attempt to fit cruise controll, and maby fit some 804 cams

Thanks for reading, Let me know what you think
Thanks Dan Very Happy
