i have told him to join. i have a 1.9d so alot more work to put gti in as petrol engine. i would have 2.0hdi.

Best bet would be to get a gti complete interior and exterior loom with the engine/ecu (if the engine loom doesnt match up just replace the whole loom)
The anti roll bar and hubs would need to be changed too
