#1: Shock Absorbers & CV Joint Author: jaypug206, Location: LondonPosted: Sat Oct 08, 2011 10:47 am ---- Hi,
I have a 206 1.4 8v 2004, its has a odd knocking noise come from the back, I presume it was the exhaust knocking or something to do with the suspension.
Anyways was on the ramp yesterday in the garage for something else, asked the guy and he said 1 of your shock absorbers are knackered. Would it do anything to do with the rear beam?
So I was wondering how much are new shock absorbers? Labour?
Also when full locking my wheel left, it makes a grinding noise while driving, only when it is full locked to the left. It does not do it when full locking right. I searched on here, probably CV joint I think.
If it is, how much should you pay roughly at a garage to get the CV joint fixed?
Thanks.

My local small garage charges £35/hour labour, but I notice you're in London so might be something like £45-60ph. Plus parts, too, on them prices.
