very nice mate i had a 306 s16 a few yrs back, done me well for a time then my son had it off me and ran it for another couple of yrs,he then in turn sold it to one of his mates and its still going strong now.

Yeah that doesn't look too bad mate if we discard the rear lights! They're great fun for very little outlay. You can get a half decent gti 6 with history for £1500 and a shitter for £900.

That was the style back then though!

Harry I only find the tidy ones because I just so happen to be at the right place at the right time. I don't have any newer pics as such because i've not cleaned it yet, so it's now mingin' already being white! Will get pics up as soon as though.

Edit: I forgot i took these:

These pics were taken by previous owner to show me so i knew what i was letting myself in for Laughing Nothing a bit of surfex hd and a pressure washer at work won't sort out.

So i finally managed to get round to some thorough cleaning...

How the car looked to start with:

After a wash although doesn't look much different!

There was no need for boot lid shuts to be this dirty!

After:

Whipped roof trims off as well and cleaned out some of the gunk

I also did the door shuts and the sills/around the doors etc but didn't take any pics. I then started the claying process just using an autoglym clay bar. It's not as good as the Bilt Hamber stuff but still did the trick. I used it along-side Iron-X, which draws out dirt from the paintwork instead of what's just sitting on top of it.

This was the bonnet:

Doing this first I found made claying easier and quicker because Iron-X breaks down the dirt sitting on the paint, so the clay bar slid over the paintwork smoothly.

Already starting to achieve a bit of depth and sparkle!

At this point, guess which side of the car I hadn't done yet!

And how the day ended:

I think the wheels might have been refurbed in the past but not very well done or something?? The finish on them's a bit lack lustre!

Still to do:

Below the doors from the black trim down with the clay bar, side skirts & the front bumper. I've not started on the interior yet, but it's really not too bad, just needs a good hoover and a wipe over with a cloth and the glass cleaned as there's a few sticky marks on the windscreen.

I got a set of winter tyres on some steel wheels, however the steelies themselves were a bit rusty, so, since I had some Bilt Hamber etch primer, Ford Graphite gray paint and lacquer lying around I decided to use some of this to freshen the wheels up a bit! I know the last ones are pretty dark, but never mind. I'll get pics of them on the car in day-light at some point.

I was not going for any awards with these wheels, but here it goes! This is how they started out and as you can tell I already faffed around with a tin of primer before these pics were taken!

Rubbed down, washed, dried then taped them up. I find tape's a bit time consuming but zero paint gets onto the tyres and it's so easy to peel off and it's really cheap as a masking material. Proper masking tape doesn't stick to tyres very well at all!

Thoroughly covered in etch primer

Then graphite gray paint and lacquer. Far from mint but better than the orange and black and not bad for using what I had lying around! Very Happy I couldn't use a flash on this photo because it just hit against all of the paint in the air and was really hazy and unclear!
