Lee are you sure the newer 1.6s are Euro IV and the older ones are Euro III?

My 2005 1.6 16v XSI (Quicksilver) also has the newer type. Im thinking of popping down to our local scrappy & take out the old style air box/pipes. Can it old style be mounted easily? Is it worth the effort required?

After doing a little research & maths (could be wrong) I've got worked out that the 'new' type air box actually feeds the engine with more air than the 'old' style air box (based on the diameter of the filters that go in them)
