#1: 1.6 xsi running short of power Author: billyxsi93, Location: SleafordPosted: Wed Oct 12, 2011 2:22 am ---- I have a 03 plate 1.6 xsi 16v petrol. On paper it should be equal, if not slightly quicker than my mates 1.6 16v clio dynamique petrol, however on a trip down the motorway the other day I couldn't pull past him when he had a full car and a huge twin sub in the back and it was just me and my girlfriend in my car. Both cars are standard apart from he has a pipercross induction kit and I have a s***ty aftermarket air filter which the car came with, any suggestions on why my car might be running short of power? Would the bad air feed be causing it to run so badly? or is there any other simple things that may be causing it to be a little underperforming?

Soon be a different car.

Yeah hopefully that'll give it a new lease of life! cheers
