#1: Headlights & Windscreen Wipers Working On There Own :/ Author: Pugsy, Location: Stoke On Trent, StaffordshirePosted: Thu Oct 13, 2011 12:19 pm ---- hey guys
i posted a thread a while ago thinkin i'd fixed the problem with my pug. turns out i was wrong
it still keeps flashing/turning its dipped headlights on on its own, but when this happens my windscreen wipers work on intimitant & won't turn off.
the bit thats confusing me is when all this happens it locks me out of the whole unit.
e.g i can't indicate or use my winscreen wash. i dont think its anything do with my comms unit cuz the actual mechanism cancels like it would if my indicators were working.
i've also still got the airbag warning lights on aswell.
it's beginning to annoy me cuz its seen as a distraction to other drivers
Any ideas what i need to do to fix this ? i'm thinking maybe its the battery or a dodgy electrical connection somewhere
Cheers for any help Last edited by Pugsy on Thu Oct 13, 2011 12:21 pm; edited 1 time in total

You don't even need to mount it to the rack just unplug the old one and connect it to the new one.

I strongly suggest it is the comm unit, everything may cancel as they should, but it may be an actual fault stored in the unit itself. I advise a new comm, if that fails to do it, then it may possibly be a short in the wiring.
