I really hope to get some helps from here. Pls help if you can.
My peugeot 206 2.0 hdi cutting out all the time. It started few days ago.

1. when I brake (traffic light or left or right turn) or get slow, engine dies completely

2. the engine management light always on.

3. if I switch it off then on, it starts but it stops again in next braking.

4. accelerator doesnt accelerate as it used to

I took it to several mechanics, one said problem in immobiliser and suggested me to take it to the dealer. well took it to the dealer, they found : feul pressure regulation fault, feul high pressure monitoring fault and no.2 injector leaking badly. and suggested me to change the whole feul thing that would cost me £3000. I found that unhelpful like the the first mechanic.

Do anyone have any idea whats going on inside my car? pls help. Btw, I found some seller who sell refurbished/2nd hand diesel injectors in ebay. do they work?

Definitely not the immobilser

Fueling fault as they said, more than likely the pump

if n0 2 injector is leaking badly, that would be the first thing i would sort.maybe why there's a fuel pressure fault.

ok m8s, thanks everyone for their contibutions. didnot get the cheapest offer though as you guys mentioned because I hardly know anything about engine. Anyway, injector no.2 is replaced and other injectors are sealed by copper (according to the mechanic). And the car is allright now.

Ya see u on the road.

This seems like a problem that I am having at the mo.....

After my recent MOT the car keep struggling and then cutting out, if i put some revs on and then take them off the engine would cut out completely. After running it for a while, it seemed to 'warm up' and cause no problems after that. However after a week or so of having to 'warm it up' before driving, the engine diagnostics light came on saying "antipollution fault" and now the engine just coughs, splutters and dies after about 5 seconds of starting. Im wondering if there is an fuel injector fault similar to above discussed that has now damaged my catalytic converter? I have a 2002, 1.6 XSI....do these models have electronic fuel injection which could be causing the problem?

Any help or experience of this would be much appreciated!

Cheers! Smile

All UK spec petrol 206's use multipoint fuel injection.

First thing to check, has it got NGK spark plugs fitted? if it has then launch them towards the nearest bin & fit a set of Bosch soark plugs.

Your car is also EOBD, have you have the fault codes read yet? any decent garage / mechanic will be able to read the fault codes.

thanks for the reply mr BSI Smile

not sure on the spark plugs, will have a look, i just had an interim service too but dont think that changes the plugs, just filters i assume?! I'll have to get it to a garage to have the codes read...i assume this is like a diagnostic sort of test is it? fingers crossed its not gona be RIP lol

As the engine diagnostic light has come on while you where driving then a fault code will be stored in the ecu memory.

Anti pollution fault on a Peugeot / Citroen covers many different problems, without reading the fault code memory your just guessing.

Do check the spark plugs, if NGK's are fitted they can cause all sorts of running / electrical problems.
