ECU is the other side, forward of the upper engine mount.
#3: Re: engine mount Author: Dan-, Location: BiggleswadePosted: Fri Oct 14, 2011 1:48 pm ---- Thanks so basically all I do is undo that nut holding the ecu on lift the ecu out the way, do i not need to unplug any of the connectors

#5: Re: engine mount Author: Dan-, Location: BiggleswadePosted: Fri Oct 14, 2011 3:26 pm ---- ah thanks edward, so i dont have a stupid anti tamper nut then, should it lift up and out the way after that 1 nut is removed, enough for me to get a chain around mount, or will unplugging the connectors and removing the ecu out the car be better,
Thanks
#6: Re: engine mount Author: DMA24, Location: LlantrisantPosted: Fri Oct 14, 2011 4:21 pm ---- Should give you plenty of room after you undo that nut without needing to unplug the ecu Done a few!
#7: Re: engine mount Author: Dan-, Location: BiggleswadePosted: Fri Oct 14, 2011 4:27 pm ---- sorry if i sound dumb, but is that 1 nut the only thing holding the ecu inplace
#8: Re: engine mount Author: DMA24, Location: LlantrisantPosted: Fri Oct 14, 2011 4:34 pm ---- yep, that one nut and it should pull out of the way!
#9: Re: engine mount Author: Dan-, Location: BiggleswadePosted: Fri Oct 14, 2011 4:35 pm ---- wow, thought it would be on better than that might have to fit a nyloc on refitting
Thanks for your advise
#10: Re: engine mount Author: DMA24, Location: LlantrisantPosted: Fri Oct 14, 2011 4:41 pm ---- No problem, much easier without the anti tamper nut that you don't seem to have!
#11: Re: engine mount Author: Dan-, Location: BiggleswadePosted: Fri Oct 14, 2011 4:44 pm ---- aha no chance that anoying nut wont be under that black thing which looks like a cover not sure, i feel so stupid but never had an ecu off a 206 so dont know what 1 looks like
#12: Re: engine mount Author: Edward, Location: In the garagePosted: Sat Oct 15, 2011 1:56 am ---- The ECU and bracket get removed, the ECU might be held onto the bracket with a security nut/bolt but as you remove ECU and bracket together it's not a problem.
