My engine isnt running very well at the minute. its weak on power an sounds a bit crap when i press the accelerator.

I thought it got sorted when i took it to the garage an he put new injectors isn't it. This really did work for a short amount of time. engine was perfect an ran sweet as a nut, but the problem has slowly come back an its annoying me now. when i say slowly... i mean it gets worse as it get hotter. seems fine when its cold.

Have just replaced the spark plugs with bosh super 4s from the ngk ones. hasnt worked. thinkin it might be the coil pack. any ideas. cheers.

206 gti 99.

Sounds like the coilpack but it might be best to get a diagnostic to see if it throws any faults up

By sounding crap - what do you mean? Loud? rattly?

Check the state of the fuel pump and air intake
Check the coolant temp sensor

when i press the accelerator it sounds like my my exhaust is blowing even though the exhaust is fine an sometimes it pops as im slowing down. when its stood still the engine sounds like its not running on all cylinders or so ive been told.

I have got a cheap diagnostic comy. havnt used it yet. will plug it in tomorow an have a luk

My guess ... coil pack. Sounds just like the problem our CC suffered from last weekend.

Should have ran a diag before buying parts

Would agree with the coil pack or possibly a faulty lambda sensor?

The lamba sensor is bran new. so is the exhaust. would of done diagnostic before but the spark plugs probly needed changing anyway cuz ive heard that them ngk plugs are not to good on the coil pack an the boshe super 4s recommended.

Wouldn't have thought it was the fuel pump as that wouldn't really be affected by the car getting hot.

Not sure exaclty what the sensor is called but the lead that goes into my coil pack i noticed was worn down to the copper. Some of the copper had been frayed as well.

what sort of effect does this sensor have on the car. not sure if thats my coolant temp sens or not?? does this sound like it could be part of the problem because i swapped the coil pack an didnt make a difference so will send it back.
