Well the day had finally come, my clutch gave up on me in quite a noisy quealling explosive style.

I now need a new one, any advice on what make to go for and where from, ebay is a little limited with results.

Only serious comments please

Thanks in advance

As seabook says luk, sach or valeo are well respected brands you could also try your local motor factors for either of these. Just checked through the local motor factors we use and have got a price of £114 (to the general public) for a luk clutch kit, obviously if you know someone in the trade then you could get one cheaper but that gives you a ballpark figure.

if the thrust bearing has collapsed its probably bounced or even stuck a ball bearing in to the flywheel sensor
( if the flywheel pick up is located on the top of the gear box )

That's the sort of thing that comes from sitting at traffic lights etc with the clutch on the floor.
