#1: Driver window damage likely? Author: karimali831, Location: EnglandPosted: Fri Oct 21, 2011 8:49 pm ---- A tow truck damaged my offside door and without me having much thought into thinking the window will maybe not go down, it does by an inch until you hear a loud crackling sound. So now I am thinking my window is damaged?
They don't accept liability on this.. is this seriously my thought?!

If a tow truck caused the damage it should be responsible, perhaps you can give more details for a clearer picture of what happened.

I think the link is there so that E5 knows how the damage occurred.
To the OP, it's more than likely that the window is catching something inside the door as it moves. They don't operate on normal runners. Once the door is replaced, then it shouldn't be a problem.
The recovery company should know that damage hidden behind panels is likely after something like that. Until the door is stripped down, you won't know the full extent of the damage.
