ok so looks like this could get quite expencive then
well still not got to the bottom of my central locking issues mate, spoke with mate who works for main dealer and he recons that they never had one that won't unlock yes they had loads with bouncing locks but none like i got. he recons the would have to go right through the wireing and test each for power (right amount).
he also said that the bsi has a unlock and a lock part of it and the unlock part maybe playing up. so i was just trying to work out the cheapest way of sorting this as he recons it could take hrs to trace each wire and power and at 74 +vat ph it would be bloody costly

A replacement BSI new or 2nd hand would need setting up with Peugeot Planet.
Are you 100% sure the door lock solinoide's are not at fault? they are a known weak point on the 206, one of my doors is on it's 3rd unit.
#6: Re: What would i need Author: broadblaster, Location: south coastPosted: Sun Oct 23, 2011 10:26 am ---- no i'm not sure tbh with you mate i have taken the boot lock (well the whole unit out) and tried that in my 206 (04) 1.4 hdi van and it works fine so that just leaves the doors to try, i have taken off the cards checked that the conections are all ok and cleaned them up and they seem ok, if i use the key in lock it will just lock/unlock that door and none of the others, same on both doors nor will it unlock the boot.
i would have thought that if it was say the drivers door playing up then the passengers side would work the boot as well but nothing. they all lock on the fob easy as you like or when you use the key the seem free and not hard to turn.
#7: Re: What would i need Author: MrBSI, Location: What's it to you? ? ?Posted: Sun Oct 23, 2011 10:33 am ---- Sounds like wiring diagram & multimeter time before spending any money on it.
Check for lock & unlock signals reaching the connector plugs on boot door solenoids.
Have you had the door loom apart from the A pillar & checked / cleaned connections?
There was the wiring info posted up on forum a few weeks back or im sure someone like Lee will have it.
#8: Re: What would i need Author: broadblaster, Location: south coastPosted: Sun Oct 23, 2011 10:44 am ---- no i have not mate as i thought that if that was the problem then the other door and boot would still work ???
i have run a scan on another mates kit and it show not faults it let me get into the bsi and run a test on the cental locking locked fine but not unlock.
on that site you linked it don't seem to show the same number as my unit lol
mine says
hardware 96524743680
prouduct 9652474680
supplier siemens
software 3401
and then another software 9654725980.
tbh i get very lost with wiring diagrams and multimeters so looks like i'm gonna have to find a sparky who an't gonna charge me a fortune lol lol

Id still go for one of the door lock motors being faulty before the BSI unit.
#10: Re: What would i need Author: broadblaster, Location: south coastPosted: Sun Oct 23, 2011 10:55 am ---- ok well thanks for your time and suggestions mate is there anyway to tell which one it would be or should i say how would i tell if one was u/s, i was going to take one out just to look at it the other day when i had the card off but could not for the life of me see how you get the rods of the main unit any ideas ???
#11: Re: What would i need Author: MrBSI, Location: What's it to you? ? ?Posted: Sun Oct 23, 2011 10:59 am ---- There are little plastic clips that stop the rods coming out there fixings, just flick the clip carefully with a screwdriver & it will unclip & allow you to then wrestle / extract the rod from the lock motor.
#12: Re: What would i need Author: broadblaster, Location: south coastPosted: Sun Oct 23, 2011 11:03 am ---- ok thanks but again how ould i know if one is fubberd or would the others work if the duff one was disconected
#13: Re: What would i need Author: broadblaster, Location: south coastPosted: Sun Oct 23, 2011 11:53 am ---- ok well just been out and taken the cards off again and disconected the wiring to the locks one by one, and still no joy as too which if any are u/s also took off big door loom at the plug all wires look to be ok and the plugs are very clean inside no muck at all so back to being stumped by this.
looking like its gonna have to be a auto sparky or trade her in (which is probably what will happen).
#14: Re: What would i need Author: Addaz, Location: SuffolkPosted: Sun Oct 23, 2011 12:50 pm ---- Lock each door by manual and if it doesnt lock the rest of the car
Thats the one at fault
You may have done this already but its effort to try and read long posts
#15: Re: What would i need Author: broadblaster, Location: south coastPosted: Sun Oct 23, 2011 1:09 pm ---- cheers addaz but i have it the other way mate it will lock all doors but not unlock any of them.
