Down in Plymouth we haven't got an area rep or even for the southwest, how would we go about getting one? Possibly me?

Thanks

Waste of time and space, they don't do anything in 80% of the cases.

That said, you have more posts and contribute more than a lot of them so why not add another?

You do get a nice area rep thingy on your profile Laughing

Thats said what do they actually do?

Dont see the point in area reps as most meets organized end up being canceled unless its a meet at 1 of the big shows.

I withdrew myself from my area rep status ages ago, i've yet to have my priviledges removed though. But i have to agree, there isnt alot of point, it was an interesting experiment at the time, but it seems to have failed..

When I started the Area Reps thread, I thought the area reps would organise the meets and keep people interested (the idea being that if some one was dedicated to the job the meets would be good), but what actually happened was that they ended up basically being advisers rather than organising meets.

But esentially it was big fail and they are pointless really.

I've organised a dyno day meet which is this saturday and a fair few people are coming along, you don't need a badge to organise something Wink

Oh you can be sure there will be one or two as always but I'm sure it will be a decent turnout

Exactly, point proved.

A large number don't even have 206s or even contribute to the site.
