#1: So where does this wire plug into? Author: Cal91, Location: Teesside PostPosted: Thu Oct 27, 2011 10:02 am

This is my first post to go easy! Smile

After digging out the 206 (been sat in a garage for a few years), I've given it a clean up and got it started!
Good little cars, not been started for 3 years or driven for 4 and it started 3rd turn of the engine. I never used any quick start spray or anything... it didn't even need jump leads because the battery had been disconnected.

But anyway, after cleaning the engine bay I noticed this random socket not plugged into anything.
All lights are working, (the left sidelight is pretty dim, but its definitely working).

This is on the passenger side, next to the battery.

Any ideas?

Was going to say possibly H7 connections but it looks the wrong size totally for it.

I thought that, but the indicator is working and the wire isn't long enough to stretch across.

Do you see the hole punched out in the metal just under the socket? The rectangular hole?
The socket happens to be exactly the same size as that, and it sort of sits into the groove.
I was wondering if something is meant to be poking through that hole.

Possibly something to do with ABS.

See if you can find some numbers on the wires somewhere.

There is no numbers on the wire itself.

The socket has a number on it, but I think its a part number.
It reads... >PBTP QF 30<

After looking about, its the exact same socket that is connected to the indicator.

The car has no fog lights, so could be that!
But wouldn't it be strapped up? or at least have a cover over the socket!

Yeah, thats it.

Autolights only add's a plug for the rain / light sensor inside the car, doesnt add anything under the bonnet.
