basically .. i've got a 2005 1,4 triptronic .. since i bought it i noticed it held onto gears and didnt change up properly when in drive over revs etc .. normally drive it in semi mode anyway so it dosnt really matter but i was having a play in PP2000 this afternoon and got the following error codes ..
Remote intermittent fault. Engine speed signal. No signal
Remote intermittent fault. CAN engine torque information. No signal
said that either the transmission control unit is configured wrong or dodgy plug / corroded wire ..
anybody had a similar problem?
any help at all on this would be appreciated
Thanks alot

Or was faulty and then fixed, and codes not cleared

#5: Re: 206 auto diag codes Author: Nuve, Location: NewcastlePosted: Thu Oct 27, 2011 11:45 am ---- and the ring would cause dodgy gear changes? would it not make the abs warning light come on the dash ?
#6: Re: 206 auto diag codes Author: Lee, Location: EnglandPosted: Thu Oct 27, 2011 11:54 am ---- If it is picking up a incorrect reading then maybe so. Or your AL4 ECU wants updating.
No as it's a intermittent fault not a permanent one.

#8: Re: 206 auto diag codes Author: Lee, Location: EnglandPosted: Thu Oct 27, 2011 12:00 pm ---- If you have a multimeter just test them.
There will be a blue 2 pin blue near each ABS sensor.
Have you actually cleared the faults, and do they come back straight away after a drive?
#9: Re: 206 auto diag codes Author: Nuve, Location: NewcastlePosted: Thu Oct 27, 2011 12:06 pm ---- yea cleared the faults and took it for a drive then did a retest .. faults had not come back but the car was running crap still .. was doing 3000+ revs in 2nd at like 30mph before it decided to change gear .. yea got a multimeter so will test that also when it stops raining that is ..
#10: Re: 206 auto diag codes Author: Lee, Location: EnglandPosted: Thu Oct 27, 2011 12:12 pm ---- Read the live data while you're driving, check all the wheel speeds are the same +/- 2kph
Might need the ECU software updating.
#11: Re: 206 auto diag codes Author: Nuve, Location: NewcastlePosted: Thu Oct 27, 2011 12:18 pm ---- nice one mate cheers .. which option is the live data in planet? how hard is the software updating?
#12: Re: 206 auto diag codes Author: Lee, Location: EnglandPosted: Thu Oct 27, 2011 12:20 pm ---- Parameters.
If you are using clone software and hardware, then don't even think about trying to update yourself.
#13: Re: 206 auto diag codes Author: Nuve, Location: NewcastlePosted: Thu Oct 27, 2011 12:24 pm ---- yea i reckon i'd be leaving that one to somebody else lol thanks alot mate .. fingers crossed i'll get this sorted before the snow comes .. dont need 3500 revs in snow lol thanks again mate
