#1: Blip key starting problem Author: scotty57, Location: DerbyshirePosted: Fri Oct 28, 2011 3:27 am ---- Hi everyone. The buttons on the remote key fob were worn out so I bought a new shell off ebay. I swapped the blade and circuit board over and the new key locks & unlocks the car but there must be a problem with the immobiliser as the car turns over but will not start. The spare key still starts the car as normal.
Any ideas ?

You need the transponder in the new flip key, just a small black chip transfered to then at should be ok

When you open the fob, the transponder chip is in the side that holds the key blade, small & grey, remove with care.
