Fitting injectors

I am just about to change a fuel rail and the injectors.

Is there anything I should be aware of or is it just a simple case of taking them off and putting the new ones in??

Just watch for fuel p**sing out.

Make sure you've cleaned up before cranking, and wait at least 10 mins inbetween fitting and cranking.

Also prime the system.

ok. So take injectors of... clean up the fuel... wait bout 10mins.... (and turn the blue screw to let the air out)... then put the new ones in. Doest that sound about right?

Remove the injectors/fuel rail
Block up the fuel line with toilet roll
Fit the new injectors/fuel rail
Clean up any spilled fuel and wait 10 mins.
Open the blue screw, turn the ignition on and as soon as fuel comes out of it, tighten it up.
Happy days.

I've completely drained the rail on mine and just started it as normal. No need to risk fuel squirting out of the schrader valve.

agree with this, no need to bleed the system on any petrol car Ive come across, im sure there are exceptions though

Thanks for the input. All went ok an cars running great now thanks. only thing i should bear in mind next time is not to put my head over the valve when checking if its primed. face full of fuel lol Very Happy
