no idea yet, lol.

no i intend to do the usual removal of the dpf and egr, then possible upgrade the turbo and IC setup, then run some sort of extra cooling (similar to water/alchol injection), these are just ideas of things i have seen no idea if any of it will actually work.

what i want from it is around 160ish bhp, and a good econemy. say 50ish mpg around town.

i want the power to be right throught the rev range, as my old D_Turbo was only powerful at the top which p**sed me off no end, i have been told the HDi GTi is a bit more responsive lower down.

question,

is there such a thing a white 5w (same voltage as a side light) that would fit an indicator socket, a std indicator bulb (clear not orange) is 21w before anyone says that, a reverse light bulb is 21w, im rather stumped, and trying somehting unique, but i need a 5w bulb of this type. oh it can be led if thats a better option, but has to be of sidelight brightness

Edit: found a set, at 10w so that can work next uestion is what bulb is the indicator, is it a 382 (opposite pins) or 581 (offset pins).

Edit 1: ok so i cant get a 5w or 10w 581 bulb, so would a 21w bulb be to bright as a side light, it will be masked/diffused by the indicator cover.

i picked the car up today, after getting lost in reading, stupid sat nav trying to send me down a blocked off road, then the alternative route was a big loop back to hte same blocked off road. we eventually found the dealership and my car, after a 1hr wait for the owner to get up and dressed ect, i was allowed to look round the car. first imperssions were it needed a clean (and still does), not much worng with it usual age related scuffs, nothing major. so now to the test drive.

test drive:
wowwwww, this is what my D-Turbo should have been like, power from the moment you push the loud angry shouty peddle, made me grin from ear to ear, so we stopped at a petrol station where i put £40 in (28.4 litres), this put the gadge at just under 3/4 (however it did drop back to 3/5, on moving away), a quick check on the trip computer said i had 285miles, so back to the dealership to hand over the cash.

at the dealership:
back at the dealership while she was counting out the money, (2995 less my 200 deposit so 2795 in total), i took a quick look at the recent bills. ouch is all i can say, i got to about 4000 quid in the last yr and thought my god, any way its had a new clutch, new dual mass flywheel, new injectors, new exhaust, new silencer, new drivebelt, new cambelt, new waterpump. so i thnk the only things not replaced were the DPF and the EGR.

drive home:
on the drive home i was getting used to the car, keep kicking something inbetween the accelerator and brake, wiil have to have a look in daylight, also was quite amussed to see the trip comp up my total distance to 330+ miles to go. on getting home at 16:30, it was abit late and getting to dark to take pics. so will take some tomorrow, after i have cleaned it.

other noteworthy additions, it already has led numberplate lights and sidelights.

so since 17:00 and now i have been working on my ipod dock, need the dock extender cable before i can go further, so will have to wait for that :(.
