A GTI is quite a bit more to insure but I called and got a quote for an XS a while ago and it was £20 cheaper.

Also, don't take the seller's word for the condition, its an opinion really, go to see it before you offer anything. I've seen plenty of cars where they've been described as mint, and they are far from.
