Peugeot locking nut key

Ok so I've lost my locking nut key, I'm sure my friend has it but I won't be able to check with him for a while

I've found a place on ebay that sells replacement ones, but you need to know a code stamped on the key which is a number between 1 and 30. My locking bolts have the 4 pins positioned in a perfect square, so I'm hoping someone has similar ones and could tell me their code

I know its a very long shot but worth a try Sad

hi my locking wheel key sheared and was unsuseable , so i took it to a tyre fitter and i got them to take them off for me just with a socket and alot of hammering , it cost me £15 to get all four locking bolts off tho

I would use a socket straight away but I don't have any bolts to replace these with if they get wrecked

I've asked the seller to send me one with the pins in a square position, failing that just send me number '1' so I can do some bodging to make it work, as long as one or two of the pins fit in I should be ok

All locking nuts are diffrent so unless you get your code you will not get it off so its eva use hammer qnd sockett or you can get this kit wich you screw on to the lockin nut it has left hand thread so when it gets tight it loosens the nut

Thanks for coming over and having a try Steve, unfortunately his keys weren't quite the same as mine Sad

I'm going to try a local Peugeot breakers tomorrow to see if they have any keys

My only other idea is that if somebody who has a key with the 4 prongs in a perfect square pattern, could tell me their VIN so Lee would be able to find the code for the replacement I could buy

Just hammer them off, then go out tomorrow and buy a new set of locking wheel nuts. At least that way you will have a key that fits them.

It's probably as cheap to buy a set of bolts as it is to get a replacement key, and a hell of a lot easier.

Why would they need to give you the VIN if the number is stamped on the key?

That way even if they were dumb enough like me to have misplaced their key, we would still have some information to go from, but yeah the key code in the first place would be good.

A replacement key is £7 delivered and a new set of bolts and key would be around £40

As I say I'm visiting a peugeot breakers I know tomorrow, they should be able to help me out

Just pay a tyre garage to remove the Peugeot locking bolts, there total s**te & not worth buying a new key for.

Replace them with McGard's.
