I wouldn't bother.
What would you do even if you had the specialised equipment needed to read a linear-motor circuit,
and found it was at fault?
Just use some contact cleaner on the conectors ECU-end and hope for the best.
Peugeot dealer's sounds like a good idea to me at this stage.
#115: Re: wont tick over Author: dumdum0910, Location: letchworthPosted: Sun Nov 27, 2011 3:03 pm ---- ive already cleaned the ecu connectors , worked for about a day . what do you mean read a linear motor circuit
#116: Re: wont tick over Author: V9977, Location: Athens, GreecePosted: Sun Nov 27, 2011 3:06 pm ---- I think the type of signals found there are a bit more complex than just a voltage you could check with a multimeter.
Pug dealer would be best because they usually have quite good knowledge of PP2000, and latest updates available etc.
#117: Re: wont tick over Author: dumdum0910, Location: letchworthPosted: Sat Dec 03, 2011 5:14 am ---- finally given up with this problem got the 206 booked in to a garage to get plugged in and pin point exactly whats going on. will let you all no next weekend when its been looked at
#118: Re: wont tick over Author: dumdum0910, Location: letchworthPosted: Sat Dec 10, 2011 7:20 am ---- toke the car to a garage to get checked over for this problem. they said they checked the icv and the wiring , they seem all fine. they disconnected the ecu and plugged it back in and it ran fine. they think it may be a dodgey plug or the ecu is knackered. if it comes back again they will send the ecu for testing and dismantle the plug to see if anything is broken
#119: Re: wont tick over Author: MrBSI, Location: What's it to you? ? ?Posted: Sat Dec 10, 2011 7:57 am ---- Has the silicone grease been cleaned out the ecu connectors & plugs yet?
#120: Re: wont tick over Author: dumdum0910, Location: letchworthPosted: Sat Dec 10, 2011 10:45 am ---- i cleaned what i could the other week, im going to give it a proper clean tonight
