Check / clean the engine ecu connectors, get all the silicone grease out of there.
Might be worth getting the engine ecu software updated, Peugeot main dealer time, get the BSI software updated as well.

#33: Re: wont tick over Author: MrBSI, Location: What's it to you? ? ?Posted: Mon Nov 14, 2011 1:07 pm ---- Green one is normally the one the ecu uses to get its coolant temp info.
#34: Re: wont tick over Author: dumdum0910, Location: letchworthPosted: Mon Nov 14, 2011 1:08 pm ---- ok when i disconnected the green 1 earlier the fan kicked in so surely thats for the fan?

Green is normally coolant temp sensor for ecu on PSA.
You tried the blue one unplugged?
#37: Re: wont tick over Author: dumdum0910, Location: letchworthPosted: Tue Nov 15, 2011 11:15 am ---- nope as was dark when i looked and means taking out the air box and other bits. the 206 seems to be running ok now so aint going to bother worrying now
#38: Re: wont tick over Author: kakaruto, Location: Mansfield NottinghamPosted: Tue Nov 15, 2011 11:20 am ---- if it still runs like crap with revs bouncing and not being stable then i would try the 02 sensor
as this is the same thing that happened with me when i had a different car...
#39: Re: wont tick over Author: MrBSI, Location: What's it to you? ? ?Posted: Tue Nov 15, 2011 11:26 am ---- Really needs an exhaust emmisions test & looking at the readings before you start changing things like the lambda sensor.
#40: Re: wont tick over Author: dumdum0910, Location: letchworthPosted: Sat Nov 19, 2011 11:45 am ---- so the problem has come back again ... tick over back down to 400rpm and ive noticed every time it stalls there's a resistor clicking on the bsi.
#41: Re: wont tick over Author: dumdum0910, Location: letchworthPosted: Sat Nov 19, 2011 12:09 pm ---- this is what its doing on start up
but when im out driving and come up to a junction it will sit up 400rpm and run rough or just stall, ive also just done another fault scan and it cams up idle control systems again but when i replaced the icv last week it made it worse .
#42: Re: wont tick over Author: MrBSI, Location: What's it to you? ? ?Posted: Sat Nov 19, 2011 12:24 pm ---- Sounds very rough, is that a misfire I can here at start up as well?
#43: Re: wont tick over Author: dumdum0910, Location: letchworthPosted: Sat Nov 19, 2011 12:36 pm ---- it sounds like its missfiring but it aint. just rough idle
