Climate control "ticking" Help please!

#1: Climate control "ticking" Help please! Author: ReadyEd, Location: Bracknell, Berkshire PostPosted: Mon Nov 14, 2011 6:48 pm

My 206 has been "ticking" for a while... Found out tonight that it is definitely something to do with the climate control as when switched from auto to manual/eco, the fast ticking sound ceases. As soon as it's switched back to auto you can hear the relay click and about ten seconds later the ticking starts. Am wondering if it could be the a/c compressor and if so whether it would be a repair or replace job plus the possible costs involved??

Cheers people Smile

Does the sound make much difference when you select foot/window vent or vents etc?

Sounds like the old PSA climate control problem when one of the plastic gears stripes its teeth on the little servo motors on the heater box that control the flaps / temp adjustment.

First time ive heard of a 206 suffering this fault, done plenty on 405 & 406.
