Nothing new in a while really, I resprayed the red grille strips again and taken my time, this time with Rover Nightfire red. Nice pearlescent colour Smile

Before anyone tells me I have copied someone, I do not recite the encyclopedia of every car featured on this site before I go to bed every night to know what I can and can't do, and either way this was probably done years ago in a previous incarnation of 206info...

Anyway, next plan is to invest in Bilstein B12 suspension set, find a second hand set of 16" Oz Superturismo's to get powdercoated, focusing on the handling really. I'm also looking for sport wings already in my paint code. Cosmetically my car will be complete by then, sometimes people say I should tint my windows and mask my headlights but I like how it is now. I think it's on the verge of being in bad taste if I change the aesthetics much further than that.

Love this car mate! I think it's a brilliant example of a well looked after 206! I have a honeycomb front grill however non sport but I sprayed my chrome strips red but recently went over them again and it does make a difference doing them second time..I did them cherry red to begin with the Peugeot kkn (foud a couple Tins in the garage!)

What colour you going for on superturismos?

Thanks Dan Smile it's definitely a small touch that gets a lot of notice Smile

My Nimrods are different shades to one another and the petrol cap is another shade as well, so when I get Oz's I'll have them and the petrol cap done in a citypowdercoating special anthracite finish that has metallic flake Smile it hasnt got many blue tones to it that look out of place with the red on my car, I think if I were to kerb them I would explode

Picked up some 16" Oz Superturismo's, the paint isn't in good condition but I have sanded some back and found no filler. I think these are the classic type! These will sit further out than my Nimrods so the way it sits will be a little more pleasing to the eye, and hopefully handle better too.

It will take a while before I get these painted and the tyres swapped over. I am considering getting the Nimrod's refurbished and sell them on, or use them as winter wheels.

I had this awesome gift for my 21st birthday, I wasted no time fitting it! I just need to patch the two radio cables together properly as they are different connections, and find where the steering wheel stalk cable on my car's loom is to attach that as well. It has the capacity for GPS, all I need to do is download a map and install it through an SD card.

I remember a thread popping up about these and people were worried about the quality, but I can say it works great and the touch screen is nice and responsive. I just hope it stays reliable with age!

I have moved my business to its own premises now, the trading estate is quiet on a weekend and evenings so I still get time to detail my car. You could say my car is a demonstation of the work I do as everything I offer has been done to it.

There are loads of things I want to do. I'm looking for some sport front wings because the ET16 Superturismo's will poke out too much on non sport ones. Quite fancy having those thread and stud set ups instead of normal wheel bolts. Some 180 front seats would be nice to work on as a retrimming project, the 206+ rear lights look good in my opinion too.

I had a look at my Apex dampers and there is already patches of suface rust, I even lacquered them before they went on as well! I thought it was great at first, but it's just not firm enough for track days. Still looking for Eibach/Bilstein B12 set up, I want to get my car handling great and looking unique but in a tasteful way that doesn't take it too far. So many ideas I don't know where to start!

Picture is a bit dark so I understand it's hard to make out what it is. Its one of these:

Ridicule is welcomed but not taken to heart, I think its an awesome piece of kit. My phone only seems to ring when I'm driving and being as I never answered when I was driving (its illegal to do so) a screen with bluetooth handsfree made sense for a great present. My old man has something similar in his car too.

That gets good marks from me, very oem and subtle

Might consider using a pod like that and hard wiring it to my ECU for live electronic gauges

The limits are endless with it, at the back of the head unit you have RCA ports so you can wire anything in. On the main screen it displays your trip computer readings such as MPG, but being as my COM2000 doesn't accomodate for this I might have to upgrade that or hope that when I have the satnav map uploaded it will base it from that.

I've only played music through bluetooth so I'm not sure what CD sound quality might be like, I will admit it is a little more flat than my old HU, I'm yet to play with the EQ settings but I can always add an amplifier if I like.
