#1: Problems :-/ Author: puggy206, Location: scunthorpe PostPosted: Thu Nov 17, 2011 3:28 am
    ----
Yesterday morning I drove to work and everything wa runnin sweet, yesterday afternoon I finished work and had just set off when I noticed my 2005 1.6 quiksilver was running sluggish and basically felt like it didn't wanna be driven. It didn't wanna do a lot and then when it got to the power band it chocked slightly and then it was off. As soon as it came out of the power band it played up again. It was like that in every gear. It did this for about 7 miles and then ran ok again so I thought it had solved itself. Came to it again this morning ready for work and it did the exact same for about seven miles then ran ok.

I was just wondering has any one else had this problem, or can any one help?
Would it help to get the ecu read or am I p**sing in the wind without it?

Thanks again Smile

Ok I've it an update if it helps I just drove two miles down the road(went to shop haha) and after the car had been stood for 5 hours the problem returned again. It is bogging down, as of I've taken my foot off of the accelator, between 3,800 rpm and 4,000 rpm. After the 4k rpm she drives normal again but as soon as it dips below that the problem appears again. Up until she has been run for a bit. As if it's a cold problem but why would it do start yeaterday afternoon when it was warmer then yesterday morning.

I haven't checked the ICV yet I'll check that over the weekend.

I wasn't sure if that info would help so I posted anyways

Thanks again Smile

Could be the ICV or coilpack. Try cleaning the ICV first before you do anything else.

Read the codes nothing came up... But the problem just cleared up... Could it just have been dirty fuel from the petrol station?
