Chasing a missfire 206Gti

Hi
I have a 52 plated 206Gti

I am chasing a miss fire on it and think I have been sold another duff coil pack as the miss fire has not gone away.

I start it
Drive it, it goes like a train for 5 miles
then the engine light comes on and it miss fires, like its on 3 cyl
then sometimes if I turn it off and wait 5 minutes and turn it on, its gone for good
I can turn it back on and it will not go away
then as I drive along it goes away, it goes like a train again and all is great, but the light is on

Tried coil pack, spark plugs, cleaned injectors, new seals on injectors, contact cleaner on all electrical plugs and sockets.
Thanks
Rolling Eyes

Well you've done it the idiot and expensive route then.

Any decent garage should be able to do it.

Could be dodgy hydraulic lifters. Expensive for genuine Peugeot parts and a bit of a job to change them. An oil change could help but unlikely.

Fit a set of Bosch spark plugs & the misfire should cure itself Wink
