The motors are a pain to remove - very easy to break. I didn't bother putting mine back, may do one day.

Oh. I know its an obvious one - but remember to disconnect the battery!

Are you going to solder the wires for the halos or clip them on?

You can get these clips from halfords that let you connect 2 wires or more together without having to cut or strip them back. Made my life 10 times easyer. And i didnt bother with the motors. All in all it took me 20 mins to fit them

make sure you have the beam facing the correct way before you re-assemble. There is normally a little metal lever inside where you put the bulb.

I find these really bad, they tend to make things worse rather than better so it's usually easier to cut'n'solder.

What a small world it is, I used to work in Rugby (well, Crick), now work in Northants and live in Leics. Can't believe how many yocals there are. Oh, and seemed to spend a fair bit of time on my lunch breaks (before I moved jobs) going to Dav and back to visit GSF for parts.

Yeah Scotch locks they're the ones. I knew they had a proper name, and yes, pants! Easier to cut/solder in the first place!

Whereabouts in Leics where/are you working?

Whereabouts in Crick? I was on the industrial estate (not DIRFT).

2nd picture is the headlamp level motor.

I have 2 x connectors that came with my angel eyes to change them into the correct plug, I didn't need them as the different connections for the lights were already there in the car from the factory. So if its those you need you can have them for a small fee. If I remember correctly, that yellow plug is off the headlamp level motor, and if you didn't transfer them across from you're old lights then you won't need it, I just taped mine up and tucked it away.

If I'm wrong on what that plug is for then somebody will hopefully correct me, but I'll check mine later when I'm home and let you know, and also try and get a picture of the adapter I have for H4 - H7 or whichever way around it is.

Martinius all the connecters are fine and its a strait plug in but they just wont come on but when I put the original lights back in , its fine again .

Ohhhhh I see, I was getting the wrong end of the stick then, OK so I don't mean to be an ass.... but bulbs?? are they all in there?

Do any of the lights on the new ones work? EG. side lights, indicators, full bean and main?

#30: Re: Angel eye headlights Author: hooliganchild46, Location: Rugby , Warwickshire PostPosted: Wed Nov 30, 2011 11:47 am

There are bulbs in the angel lights and on the normal lights just the drivers side front side light dont work but I put a new bulb in and it still didnt work . I am really starting to worry that I have an electrical problem .

the plugs above are the headlight level motor wires.

can you take a pic of the wires/plugs you have? will make it much easier and can probably work it out from just the pics then.

If you have some kind of huge torch that can shine the engine bay i could try have a look for you if you come down to say maybe sixfields or possibly come to my address and i could try have a look for you. Just because i have got h4 to h7 connectors on my angels and i managed to get them to work and it was pain in the ass.
Could you manage to get indicators to work at least since its a straight plug in because the h4 and h7 lights use same ones.

not a problem mate.

Hmm, it's hard to say exactly what the problem is. If the plugs fit in, check them with a multimeter to make sure they are getting a voltage across them, if they're not, it's a fuse most likely. If there is, there's something wrong on the headlight side.

What did you say about faulty rear lights?

Does the old lights work if you plug them back in?

Have you blown the fuse?

Can you see the pins inside the connector on the angel eyes?
