Hi all,

Shs's now ready for the big reveal. What do you think?

She's now undetectable via radar!

It's different, but those headlights are f*****g annoying. Even in the first pic they seem to be affecting the photo from an angle, so what are they going to do to oncoming drivers.

Could do with a black fuel cap and masked headlights and fog lights just to finish the stealth look..

Very nice!
I wouldn't have thought I'd like it in matte black, but that's lovely

Nice work Very Happy

Fly-eye or whatever its called on the front lights perhaps? will help them blend in. Smoked repeaters and matt black fuel cap would finish it off.

Oh, and it's not a black pearl anymore Laughing it's not shiny. How about... Black Coal? Razz Laughing

I like it though, a couple of friends have done their track cars matt black. Looks mean!

I actually really like it, not keen on the details like lights and grille and boot strip and fuel cap but with a few changes could be really nice!

Is that paint or a wrap? Does look good but would look better if the spotlights the rear foglight and real lights where done black aswell also masked headlights. Then in would be well stealthy Wink

Looking good mate, but i will echo peoples comments about masking the lights...

Thanks for all your comments.

Yeah, I intend to buy a sheet of that fly-mesh stuff, looks good when on.

I'm going to smoke the side repeaters and spray the petrol cap too!

I wouldn't mind doing the headlights in Matt black, but, I'm that heavy handed "I know" I'll no doubt damage them!
Any help would be much appreciated as they would finish it off nicely!

LED rear fog or Smoked?

Think that just covers it...!

Oh, the cars sprayed.

My best mate owns a professional wrapping service. He's done Bentley's, X6's, Porsches and top end cars.
The finish is spot on. I've asked him to wrap my roof in a Matt graphite grey brushed steel effect, along with the door posts and wing mirrors.. What do you think?

Alloys were done Saturday, my mate comes to you, NORTHWEST ONLY, and does them any colour and even while they are on your car. £110. At your home/work/gym etc. takes about 2hrs

Fly eye is very easy to use and you get a better finish than tinting them imo. Also how cheap would he do a roof? Very Happy

My mate used to have an astra van in matt black that was pretty good.

How do you clean it?

#24: Re: Hereford's "Black Pearl" revealed Author: Hereford, Location: Mancheter Area PostPosted: Tue Nov 29, 2011 4:01 pm

Simple,

Sponge and hot soapy water.

Hose off, then I use one of these special fibre cloth type things in hot water.

Comes up spotless, looks weird at first as it drys funny, grey and black patches.
But once aired for 15mins it blends and the finish is great

Fully noted, cheers, that's the plan.

Yep, got one, I need to cut in where the original is... the rear badge "removed" will show the previous paint.

OR will it just go on regardless and not be able to see it?

i think you'll be able to see the original paint underneath if you swap it over as it's just flat with no raised part

Yeah I thought so, I'll whip it off after Xmas and spray in the full boot and do a proper job,

cool. and while your there why not paint the insides of your crystals instead of trying to swap for some Razz

honestly it was easy as when i did them. took less than nine hours for both and that was actually doing work at the same time and taking the photos lol

I like to make life simple! Saves getting stressed with the high possibility of breaking them.
Plus, to be fair, I ain't got 9mins spare these days let alone 9hrs.

Those headlights and the colour are a bad combination. Someone will smash into it because a) they don't see it or b) are blinded by your w**ky, badly aligned HIDs.

Cheers mate, very kind to offer. I'll no doubt get them sorted at some point.

Hey, cheers Raz, it's getting there little by little!

Ali_H, the only way they would be "smashing" into me is by
(A) They are a drunk driver
(B) They can't drive!
I dont think it will have anything to do with my car being a bad combination..But everyone's entitled to their own opinion..!
