I didn't know if it was just to show that the alarm is armed or something, as a deterant to thieves.
I've just noticed it and haven't used the car since Sunday and was hoping it wasn't going to be draining battery or anything silly like that.

#3: Re: Alarm Light on Dash Author: Matt, Posted: Wed Nov 30, 2011 11:34 am ---- It flashes in a pattern when armed and flashes in a quicker pattern if the alarm has gone off since it was locked. Once you start the car it will stop flashing all together.
#4: Re: Alarm Light on Dash Author: Matt, Posted: Wed Nov 30, 2011 11:38 am ---- Think of it like a heartbeat. Its a steady pace if car is fine. But if alarm goes off the pace gets quicker, as if the car was panicking.
Best description I got
Hope it helps

Early BSI software versions it only flashes when the alarm system is armed.
Newer BSI software versions it flashes for when the immobiliser system is armed instead.
It will also flash really fast if the alarm system has been triggered.
