#17: Re: Thoughts on GTI 180?... Author: chief93, Location: United KingdomPosted: Wed Nov 30, 2011 5:50 pm ---- are they quick? and have you had any problems with yours so far?
#18: Re: Thoughts on GTI 180?... Author: L5_UKS, Location: West MidlandsPosted: Wed Nov 30, 2011 6:05 pm ---- Yeah they are pretty quick but you sort of have to boot it to get it to really move, soon as you hit 4k revs it will pull like a train.
Ermm well I've had quite abit done on mine, had new clutch (180's are very common for the clutch judder) Mine wasnt that bad but got it done so it drives nicer also had new engine mounts and wishbones, drop links new horn because that didnt work when i got the car, then just the other bits I've added on like janspeed exhaust (best exhaust for the 180 in my opinion) new spax coilovers and rear shocks while that was getting changed I thought I might aswell change the topmounts too, so its had new topmounts.
But i would defo recommend one every car has its problems but its a very fun car to drive puts a smile on my face when you keep up with some higher end cars who think they own the road and think oh its only a 206 but they have a shock

Author: Icetto, Location: Cape TownPosted: Thu Dec 01, 2011 1:59 am ---- I don't drive my car every day but when I do take it to my sport practice or match then it puts a smile on my face before, during and after the ride. So easy and comfy to drive with power if you need it
#21: Re: Thoughts on GTI 180?... Author: Big_Rich180, Posted: Thu Dec 01, 2011 3:16 am ---- They are awsome cars to drive and very well spec'd for the money, just try to get one thats had the belts done as they should have all been done by now.
They do have problems like the ABS screwing up because of the crappy ABS rings/sensors and the clutch release bearing is likley to go at some point.
But you get over these things when you drive it lol
Suprised there arnt more haters in this thread, Gti 180's are norally slated on here.
