No idea on the cost, here's an idea, why dont you try ringing your insurance company up & ask them.

Your an idiot if you dont tell them about the modification, no point in paying money for insurance when you then go & invalidate it with undeclared mods Rolling Eyes

Not telling them will void your insurance if you get caught, so it's upto you.

Always best to tell them.

Just a thought. Maybe you should have asked your insurance before you booked it in.

Any modification has to be declared, as the insurers say its "more desirable" to thieves.

If you change anything on the car that wasn't on it when it came out of the factory classes as a modification, i told admiral everything even down to changing to sports bumpers and wings, just to be on the safe side.

I've had my bonnet wrapped and welded, cost me £150 all in. Like someone said above, it's a sticker, I wouldn't bother telling the insurance

So you rear end someone & the old bill turn up, perhaps they'll help you peel off the 'sticker'.

just my two pence... I had a black 206 before my white one, which I crashed and had a heap of undeclared mods like sun strip, painted badge, boot strip etc etc... car was inspected, insurance paid out... they don't care about little mods like that. wheels and suspension or other big things yeah but stickers etc don't worry about it.

I was told by my insurance you only had to declare "performance mods" and major colour changes like full resprays

s**t! I best phone Zurich and tell them about the 'Gilders Audi' sticker in the back window! what about pay and display tickets stuck to the screen? are they a mod? it does ask you to declare any 'signs, magnetic or permanent', so i suppose it counts....

That's the point, ring & ask your insurance company to be on the safe side.

Not a mod as such, but have to many in the wrong place & you could still be in trouble.

it will be easier to clean the carbon wrap if you got it sprayed with Lacquer Smile
