just out of interest Razz

here is mine... 110BHP / 1553KG x 1000 = 70.83BHP per tonne

so it is BHP divided by weight in KG's then multiply by 1000 to get your figure

edit - i got the weight of the car wrong, its actually1088KG Mad

edit, sorry dont mean to be patronising on this topic, the math is for anybody who didn't know or couldn't be bothered to work it out Very Happy

1088kg is the kerb weight of a 3 door 1.6 16v

Dave George weighed his 206 GTi and it was 1,070KG.

Mine should weigh the same (I'll take 10kg off because I removed the air conditioning!).

If my 214bhp is genuine I have 201bhp/tonne.

265.14 bhp/ton. 2000 gti @ approx 1050kg? 25kg more for extra bits turbo etc? My 206 made 274.4 bhp and 303 lbft the other day. Smile Not bad for an Xu10j2te eh?

Now have a Toyota Glanza v at 190BHP an weight is around 900kg so I think thats 211 bhp per ton

want to get back to gti 180 though, Glanza cant handle

around 200 in my toyota glanza
handling is poor and power is hard to find. still think the gti 80 was a great balance , miss mine was 198 bhp after tuning.
