#1: Heater Blower Author: Nathan107, Location: Gravesend, kentPosted: Sat Dec 03, 2011 8:13 am ---- Can anyone help? My heater isnt blowing hot air into the car. The fans are running and I can feel hot water going into the matrix and out of the matrix (both pipes are red hot).
Is it possible that the matrix is blocked and the water can come back out?

Its not all that common really on a 206, but I work in a peugeot garage and the 407's that come in for heater not working and this being the case, its just countless. To rectify this it would be a dash out job and strip the heater box down. Also if the car has aircon, that will need to be sucked out, then fresh put back in when the problem is rectified.

I took my controls out the other week and it was a monumental pain in the a**e to connect all the cables back on especially when some of the plastic bits that hold them on had snapped. Even more so when you didn't remember which cable was which and connected them all to the wrong buttons

#5: Re: Heater Blower Author: robertrpuegoet, Location: south africaPosted: Sun Dec 04, 2011 6:06 am ---- check that the wires at the reostat situated inside the box where the blower fan is the plug that connects to the reostat i found that the thick red wire in that plug got extremely hot and melted a bit into the plug causing it not to make contact anymore just bend the contacts back so that when you connect it again it will make contact and it works again
