Engine still runs when turned off !!!

#1: Engine still runs when turned off !!! Author: booseph, Location: Co Durham PostPosted: Tue Dec 06, 2011 2:58 am
    ----
Hi, I have a 2000 (W) 206 HDI (2ltr) with approx 96,000 miles. The past couple of months I have an intermittent fault were as when I turn my ignition off my engine continues running for 2-3 seconds (gradually cuts out) . When I re start the car the engine management light is on. If I drive steady away (no heavey acceleration) the car seems fine but as soon as I put my foot down a little and my revs increase I loose some power as if in limp mode . I drove 40 miles last night like this still managing speeds of approx 65mph, but this morning the managment light is still on !!!! any help much appreciated , Cheers
