#1: Jerking and black smoke from tail pipe - 2.0 hdi Author: joe_hdi, Location: BlackburnPosted: Wed Dec 07, 2011 10:53 am ---- Subject says it all really. At between 1000 - 2000 revs the engine jerks when I accelerate, (I don't accelerate hard either) at the same time it kicks out a lot of black smoke from the tail pipe.
Thoughts on what the problem is please and what to do to resolve?

I've worked out that European models were ISO and CAN is post 2003, but with it being diesel it throws me completely, as it says post 2003.
I know it works on my petrol engine without any problems.

I hope it isn't a f**ked turbo but been reading up on the internet - could well be!
