Indicator stalk cleaning
-> 206 Problems

in the last few days my indicators have stopped working when the stalk is clicked fully into position, its pretty obvious that there's dirt blocking the connection. Ive seen the guide on removing the stalk but it seems to only apply to older cars, my 02 gti has an all in one box that i cant seem to work out how to dismantle and there was a suggestion that to do it the steering wheel has to come off and the airbag disabled?
Anyone have a solution for this, i whacked a load of wd40 into the stalk base and my right indicator now semi works but its not shifting the blockage for the left side. And yes i have searched, all that i can find is the guide for the older column.
