I have a gearbox, clutch plate and clutch if you need one. GTi138 too.

just paid £375 for mine to be done 3 part clutch,new fork+rubber seals,drive shaft seals,gear box oil, total parts £175 + £200 labour @ 4 hours

45miles, 90miles round trip? That must be one hell of a job you enjoy?

At best that is 2gallons a day? Here is some shocking maths for you:

Two gallons @ £1.30 per litre = £11.70 a day.
Say you drive to work 5times a week, that is £58.50 a week.
£234 every 4 weeks.
£3042 a year, just travelling to work. Add tax, insurance and the general wear and tear....

Train!?

Edit: That maths is for a car averaging 45mpg (which a HDi will just about do) so could be more expensive if a different car.

You know what Tom? you are right. But before I jacked my car in I would be crawling around on the floor looking for change Rolling On The Floor Laughing I have properly scraped the barrel before to keep my car running before, its a hard thing to give up .
