#1: Dead clutch scrap, brake, fix? Author: Noakii, Location: BournemouthPosted: Mon Dec 12, 2011 6:47 am ---- Ok so I've well n truely ended my clutch the release barring failed witch took out the clutch fork, input sharft cover and maybe the slave cylinder on my gti 138 ..haaa right before Xmas .. Right I have £200 to fix it up as I'm skint how munch am I looking at to get this sorted? Ive payed for the clutch kit and getting the car deliverd n dismantled outta the £200 I had. So how much more do you thing Ill need worth scraping as I don't have a lot of cash

I've got the clutch for it I still need the fork input cover n poss slave cylinder with out the car I can't get to work to get money to fix it and it's been fur sale for ages and there's no way it will sell like this

thats good news i was thinking it would be much worse then that but still i need to find a way to get the money for the parts now :/

yeah i'll need cash for another car yes but i dont have much cash due to losing ym job how ever i have a new one thats quite low paid but its a job pays the bills JUST i'll be lucky to have £100 a month to do what ever with .. so 2 months of saveing but i cant save it unless i go to work but ni cant get there with a f****d car :L see my problem?

well i was hopeing a praying it only needed a clutch took the box off and saw i need more then that if i scrap i'l return the clutch and take what i cant off the car like all the gti stuff that will get some pennys right?

Owning a car is the same as everything these days, you can either afford it or you cant, it sounds like you cant at the moment, so either get a better job, another job, or jack the car in.
The guys on here will no doubt point you in the right direction for fixing be it new parts or from a scrappers, but dumping your money worries on everybody wont help anybody.

very true! are there any decent scrapers i cant get in contact with?
