Good evening guys,
Fantastic forum you have, Fairly new to the 206 scene.

I have jus recently purchased a 2001 2.0 HDI off ebay, car is in fairly good nick except for the gear changes, I find i sometimes struggle to get into gears unless i force it quite a lot... Doing a search the could well be worn linkages... I intend to replace these, my question is....

Are the gear linkages the same for the MA gearbox and the BE4r gearbox?

Also is it fairly straight forward to fit? I am fairly mechanically minded!

Thanks for any help!

2.0 petrol and diesel are the same, 1.1, 1.4 , 1.6 use the longer type links

on the HDI its a little harder as you have to do them from under the car unless you take the airbox and pipe coming from the turbo off

i did all 3 last week on mine i got the uprated ones and feel alot better now

Thanks for the quick response.

HDI90 - do you have the BE4r gearbox? And would the ebay links be sufficient for that box?

Thanks again

Unless its a much newer 1.1 or 1.4 petrol as they will use a cable instead Wink
