Hope they replaced the hub nuts when they did they sorted the brakes.

Total b******s, ive had my drums of 6 / 7 times over the years when doing the yearly brake clean / check & never once had the wheel bearing fall apart.
If things are looked after / serviced correctly you dont get a problem.
A lot of people the first time the drum gets removed is when something fails like the brake shoes

If the brake shoe delaminates, then often (a lot of) brute force is needed to remove the drum, since it all jams up inside.
