My gti has done 112k and I've no idea if the timing belt has ever been changed.

How much should a full service and timing belt cost at a general garage.

Is there anyone you guys recommend on here.

I'm in Sheffield btw

I had mine done at Peugeot.

Andy in Donny might do it for you if he isn't busy, he's a ex Peugeot mechanic

Yes yes....

I got mine done in Rotherham at a specialist. www.citroenpeugeot.co.uk/

Ring and speak to Shaun and tell him Phil sent you to him (had cambelt and clutch done on a black GTI)

He'll use genuine parts if you want and his prices are unbeliveably cheap.. I brought my own cambelt and waterpump and the labour was the correct side of £100!!!! including antifreeze.

Aye I thought that!!!

I ignored it when I first thought that as it was only the week before I had Tech2 plugged into my car changing a few things lol.

Top bloke, though. I'll keep going back to him for major work... that's a 35 mile trip from Leeds, too.

Tech2 is for diagnosis, programming ecm's and key coding of opel/vaux cars. Wouldn't work on PSA as it runs kwp not iso for a start. Also uses a different immo system
